Our largest annual event, the National Conference inspires and equips a growing community of Catholic educators to reclaim the Church’s full vision of education and to bring it to life in their classrooms. Join hundreds of Catholic educators as they come together to deepen their understanding of the nature and purpose of Catholic education and its roots in the liberal arts tradition.

THEME:

St. Catherine of Siena said that, “the task of the educator is to bring the soul from the shadows of ignorance into the light of truth.”

Inspired by this calling and by the compelling scene depicted in Caravaggio’s The Calling of Saint Matthew, the theme for our 2026 National Conference is Stepping into the Light.

In Scripture, light not only depicts God’s presence and transforming power; it also illuminates knowledge and witnesses to the Truth. God’s people are called to be a light to the nations.

C.S. Lewis noted that knowledge comes not simply by looking at things from the outside in an analytical fashion, such as studying a sunbeam in a dark room; we must also look along the shaft of light—stepping into its path and seeing what else it illuminates. The renewal of Catholic education is not only a venture of studying about the Church’s intellectual tradition, but stepping into it and seeing what—and, more importantly, Who—it reveals from the inside.

Joining us at the 2026 National Conference will be an incredible lineup of Bishops on the forefront of the renewal of Catholic education, and faithful, brilliant educators who will offer their insights at the event, including:

Speaker Card Bishop Earl K Fernandes
Speaker Card Bishop Thomas A. Daly
Speaker Card Bishop Andrew Cozzens

And many others!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE 2025 CONFERENCE:

What Past Participants Say

"I was reminded once again of the necessity to have a deep intimacy with Christ, most especially in the formation of souls. This conference exudes the Eucharistic love of Christ in the reverence of the Mass and holy hour, in the content of the talks, and in the secured time for fellowship."

“This conference captures the essence of what it means to be a Catholic educator.”

“Having the ability to share thoughts openly with others on the journey is refreshing. We seem to all be walking together with purpose and are not afraid to share stories, successes of struggles, with an openness to support and learn from each other.”
