PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Our most hands-on, sequential event, Spirit & Craft of Teaching in the Liberal Arts Tradition for Educational Leaders immerses participants in the theory and practice of Catholic liberal arts pedagogy. This session is tailored specifically to new and veteran educational leaders (bishops, superintendents, diocesan leaders, principals, pastors, etc.) who desire to learn more about Catholic liberal arts education. The program size is limited to allow for maximum personal attention; participants prepare and present lessons and receive feedback.

SCHEDULE:

The program begins on Monday with check-in beginning at 1 p.m. and the opening session beginning at 3 p.m. The program concludes on Friday around noon. Please note: By registering, participants confirm that they will attend this program in its entirety. Since the content provided is integrated and sequential, it is important to not arrive late, depart early, or skip sessions.

COST FOR 2026:

$1,975 per person, due within 15 days of registration

The cost includes overnight lodging, and all meals beginning with dinner on Monday and concluding with breakfast on Friday, with the exception of dinner on Wednesday, when participants have the option to explore the local area on their own. Thursday evening’s closing convivial dinner is generously made possible by ICLE’s partner organization, Faithful Catholic Fundraising.

LOCATION:

Our program will take place at the Augustine Institute near St. Louis, Missouri, located at 16805 New Halls Ferry Road, Florissant, MO 63034.

TITLE FUNDING:

Title funds (federal monies administered by your Local Educational Agency) may be available to help offset participant costs related to this event. Past participants in this event have successfully secured title funding. Please review some helpful information HERE.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CLERGY AND VOWED RELIGIOUS:

A limited number of partial, needs-based scholarships are reserved specifically for clergy and vowed religious interested in participating in this program. If you are a member of the clergy or a vowed religious interested in applying for a scholarship, please complete this scholarship request form.

TRAVEL & LODGING:

Participants are responsible for their own travel. The nearest airport is St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). The Augustine Institute campus is located about 25 minutes from the airport at 16805 New Halls Ferry Road, Florissant, MO 63034.

Each participant will have a private room with a private bath.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE:

Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) are granted for participation in ICLE workshops, programs, and events. You may request a certificate of attendance for a previous event HERE.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Due to hard costs incurred in contracts and planning, we provide a cancellation policy that aims to be respectful of your ministry in Catholic education, but also justly considerate of the fiscal responsibilities of our own ministry:

For all ICLE programs, with the exception of the National Conference, cancellations received at least 60 days in advance of the event will be honored with a full refund. Cancellations received at least 45 days in advance will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 45 days in advance will receive no refund.

For the National Conference, cancellations received at least 90 days in advance of the event will be honored with a full refund. Cancellations received at least 45 days in advance will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 45 days in advance will receive no refund.

Please allow up to 30 days for a refund to be processed.
