ICLE’s 2025 National Conference
Planning Your Free Evening
JULY 17, 2025
Every year on the final evening of the conference, participants are given free time to relax and explore the local area. This year, we are happy to provide a few pre-arranged options for our conference attendees:
Join Kingdom Tours, an ICLE partner organization, for a Mini Pilgrimage and Tour to Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska, a place of hope and transformation founded by Father Edward J. Flanagan in 1917. Father Flanagan dedicated his life to helping homeless and troubled boys, believing that “there are no bad boys, only bad environments, bad training, and bad examples.”
Pre-registration required. Includes transportation, meal, and tour.
Cost: Free
Departs from UNL Newman Center at 5 PM

OPTION 2: SCHOOL SISTERS OF CHRIST THE KING PICNIC SUPPER AND TOUR
The School Sisters of Christ the King welcome you to their Motherhouse for a picnic supper and tour of the Motherhouse and grounds from 6-8 PM. There will be opportunities for private prayer in the Chapel and yard games outside.
Pre-registration required by July 10.
Cost: Free

OPTION 3: VISIT OUR CONFERENCE BOOKSTORE
Please note that our conference bookstore, Eighth Day Books, will be open on the free evening.
Visit them in the Hotel Lower Level.
Please visit the Visit Lincoln website for help planning your free evening. A few possible options include:
- -Explore Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket for dining, shopping, and nightlife
- -Attend an outdoor production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Pinewood Bowl Theatre (tickets go on sale June 9)
- -Visit the Sunken Gardens
- -Book a Candle Lab Experience or simply shop at Wax Buffalo
- -Catch a Lincoln Saltdogs baseball game as they host the Sioux City (Iowa) Explorers (the Saltdogs are a member of the West Division of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball)
You may wish to take advantage of Lincoln’s Trolley Service, with stops near the Marriott Cornhusker Hotel.
