Humanities Instructor – Ville de Marie Academy – Scottsdale, AZ
Due to growth in our student body, we are seeking upper school teachers familiar with classical, Catholic liberal education and are enthusiastic about teaching youth. Candidates must be loyal, practicing Catholics who are motivated, organized and possess the ability to challenge, encourage and lead students. Previous teaching experience is desirable but not required.
We are accepting applications for a Humanities Instructor for grades 9-12. Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree and a solid understanding of Catholic liberal arts. This individual will be responsible to teach history, literature and composition. Familiar with Great Books. Course work could include: Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Middle Ages, or United States Government/Modern period. Candidates will have the ability to encourage, challenge and engage students. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Background in Latin is a plus.
Founded in 1991, we are an Independent, K-12 Catholic classical liberal arts school located in Scottsdale, AZ. Our faculty are required to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and Profession of Faith to the Catholic Church. Our faculty and students attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on a daily basis.
