The mission of Emerald Heights Academy is the transformation of our society through the formation of Christ-centered leaders. EHA provides a classical liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition to students in PK4 through grade 8. At Emerald Heights Academy, we know that educating the leaders of tomorrow starts today. Emerald Heights Academy is seeking a seasoned executive director that will display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel. The executive director will be a faithful Catholic, experienced business professional and key member and leader of the faculty. The executive director will either teach part time and/or assist the teachers with classroom management.

Responsibilities Include: School Management, Recruitment,
Fundraising, and Marketing

School Management
– Serve as the educational and organizational leader to ensure a traditional Catholic learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school
– Ensure compliance with all laws and Board policies
– Lead Covid 19 task force of reopening schools -establish & maintain procedures
– In collaboration with the staff, develop teaching plans/structures
– Establish procedures that create and maintain attractive, organized, functional, clean, and safe facilities.
– Work with Board on lease negotiations and space requirements
– Oversee faculty retention, recruitment and employee agreements
– Oversee weekly newsletter to parents
– Work directly with finance manager to develop financial plans/budgets
– Oversee daily faith formation for all EHA members through daily prayer, weekly mass, etc
– Manage relations with Catholic clergy, other Catholic schools and Dioceses

Family Recruitment and Retention
-New family recruitment
Conduct school tours for prospective parents and students
-Admit new students upon review of placement test, student application materials, remedial concerns/needs, and family meeting
-Communicate regularly with parents and donors
-Finance oversight

– Develop a school marketing and growth plan with the school marketing committee and School Board
– Pursue relations with Catholic radio, Catholic media, etc
– Provide guidance and input for website, facebook page, etc

– Support the fundraising committee and follow up with families regarding fundraising obligations
– Active Auction committee member
– Develop relations with donors and key community members


Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have a deep love of the Catholic faith and a full sacramental and prayer life.
Education: Preference for a masters-degree or higher level of education
Experience: Prefer six to ten years of teaching and/or leadership experience in a school environment (classical school experience preferred); Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
