+++ High School Lead Teacher +++
The lead teacher will be the supervisory head of the daily operations at DMA’s high school. This position will involve basic administrative and managerial work, but its main function will be to act as the on-the-ground leader of the high school who carries each day to its end. This position also involves working closely with the Headmaster as a subordinate yet fellow administrator. For example, the HS Lead Teacher would communicate directly with high school students and families to resolve any issues, and would be expected to direct the issue toward the Headmaster if it becomes appropriate or necessary.

Overall, the Lead Teacher would be the dynamic and energetic leader who would help maintain a spirit of unity, diligence, and faith among high school students, teachers, and families. In so doing, the Lead Teacher will have a significant impact and influence on DMA high school over the years, as the position provides great flexibility for a person to be creative, multifaceted, and bold in leadership, all with the guidance and support of the Headmaster, veteran teachers, and School Board. In sum, the position is a chance to grow professionally and personally in doing something great for a faithful and burgeoning Catholic school located in a wildly beautiful part of the world.

Note: this is not a standalone position. Rather, the lead teacher’s responsibilities augment the workload of the candidate who desires it as they apply for a teaching position. Depending on several factors, it is possible that this position would bring a part-time position to a full-time one.

We will still accept applications for only this position, but any candidate doing so is encouraged to contemplate how else he/she might assist in the school’s operations if not as a teacher.

Job Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience in education and/or education leadership
– Practicing Catholic in communion with the Magisterium of the Church
– Desire to work with adolescents and form them in the Catholic Faith
– Dynamic personality and great energy
– Adaptable and willing to learn

Job Responsibilities:
– tracking student attendance
– leading students through a daily schedule
– reviewing student grades periodically
– ensuring the smooth progression of daily operations
