The Dean of Academic Affairs assists the Principal of Christ the King Catholic School by overseeing the transition of the school into a Catholic liberal arts curriculum and pedagogy. This pedagogy is informed by the Five Benchmarks of Catholic Education promulgated by the Holy See. The Dean primarily serves the faculty through formation in the classical liberal arts vision, assists the principal to oversee the curriculum, and serves as a resource for all constituencies of the school: faculty, students, staff, parents, advisory board, benefactors, and parishioners. The ongoing responsibility of the Dean is to articulate the true nature and goal of Catholic classical liberal arts education, and to promote adherence to that vision at Christ the King Catholic School among faculty, administration, students, and families.


1. A practicing Catholic in good standing
2. Experience teaching in a Catholic classical liberal arts setting, as well as familiarity with contemporary educational practices and theory
3. Competent computer skills
4. Relates well to people
5. Ability to organize and administrate in a punctual fashion
6. Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable
