JOB DESCRIPTION

Regina Academy at Saint John the Baptist, a private Catholic classical academy serving grades Pre-K – 8 in Upper Bucks County Pennsylvania is seeking a new Head of School via a strategic succession/transition plan.

RA@SJB builds on the legacy of a parish school that first opened in 1784. Facing the possibility of closure, the parish school at Saint John the Baptist reopened in 2012 as the 4th Regina Academy, a network of private Catholic classical academies in the Philadelphia region. The school has experienced a 48% enrollment increase over the last 3 years.

The new Head of School will be expected to be the academic and spiritual leader of the school and continue to lead our partnership in knowing, loving, leading and inspiring each of our 110 school children to help them find out and become who God created them to be.

RA@SJB helps develop the spiritual, moral and intellectual foundations of our students to prepare them to become virtuous and productive citizens who are committed to faith, to leadership and to community. We teach our school children to pray and tend the whole person heart, soul, mind and body.

Applicants should have experience as an administrator in a Classical school. All administration, faculty, and staff of the Regina Academies are required to sign an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church each year.

If you are interested in pursuing this exciting opportunity to form children intellectually and spiritually in the Catholic liberal arts tradition, and to shape the future of Catholic education in the Philadelphia region, please email your resume to the RA@SJB Board at board@rasjb.org. We will provide a more detailed job description upon request.
